The battle for the Orange Cap and Purple Cap in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 intensified on Wednesday after Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Raipur. Bhuvneshwar Kumar Retains Purple Cap
In the bowling charts, Bhuvneshwar Kumar continues to lead the Purple Cap standings after taking one wicket against KKR. The experienced RCB fast bowler now has 22 wickets this season.
His latest performance helped him move ahead of Gujarat Titans pacer Kagiso Rabada, who is currently second with 21 wickets.
Chennai Super Kings bowler Anshul Kamboj holds third place with 19 wickets.
Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants pacer Prince Yadav, Gujarat Titans spinner Rashid Khan, Kolkata Knight Riders fast bowler Kartik Tyagi, and Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Ishan Malinga are tied with 16 wickets each.
