Priyadarshani Group of Schools Celebrates 43 Years of Educational Excellence, Announces Samajratna Puraskar 2026
July 8, 2026…Pune…Priyadarshani Group of Schools, one of Maharashtra’s leading educational institutions, dedicated to delivering quality, affordable, and holistic education, will celebrate its 43rd Founders’ Day on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Ramkrishna More Natyagruha, 11:00 AM onwards. The occasion will be marked by the presentation of the Samajratna Puraskar 2026, with awards presented by acclaimed actor Pravin Tarde and eminent educationist Shri Dattatray Ware Guruji, alongside the Managing Trustees of Priyadarshani Group of Schools.
Founders’ Day at Priyadarshani Group of Schools commemorates the vision and enduring legacy of its founder, Late Shri Indraman Singh Ji, whose journey began as a young boy walking miles to attend school near Varanasi. With just ₹300 and the support of his friends Jayaram Patil and Motiram Pawar, he founded Priyadarshani School on 15th August 1982 with only five students, driven by a belief that quality education should remain accessible to all. That belief grew into what is today the Priyadarshani Group of Schools, serving over 17,000 students across Pune and PCMC. Fittingly, this year’s Founders’ Day falls on what would have been his birth anniversary.
Speaking about the occasion, Dr. Rajendra Indraman Singh, Educationist & Managing Trustee, Priyadarshani Group of Schools, said, “Founders’ Day is a celebration of the values and vision on which our institution was built. Through the Samajratna Puraskar, we are honoured to recognise individuals and organisations whose selfless work continues to inspire positive change and contribute meaningfully to society.”
Through the Samajratna Puraskar, an initiative that honours individuals and organisations whose outstanding contributions have created a meaningful and lasting impact, the institution extends his founding values outward — recognising changemakers across community development, education, social service, and public welfare.
This year’s Samajratna Puraskar recipients include Sneha Bharti (Purnkuti Foundation), Vidyadeep Foundation, Sahara Social Foundation, Rahul Deshmukh, Prajakta Rudravar, Shridhar Iyer, and several other inspiring changemakers who have made significant contributions in their respective fields.
The prestigious Jeevan Gaurav Award, conferred for exemplary lifetime contribution to society, will be presented to Adv. Nandu Phadke this year.
The celebration will bring together educators, community leaders, distinguished guests, students, parents, alumni, and well-wishers, coming together to celebrate the institution’s legacy while honouring those who are making a meaningful difference in society.
