CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Visits Batadrava Than, Reviews Development Issues with Temple Committee
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday visited Batadrava Than, the birthplace of Vaishnav saint and social reformer Srimanta Sankardeva, shortly after taking oath for his second term in office. During the visit, the Chief Minister offered prayers at the Kirtanghar and interacted with Vaishnav devotees at the religious site, which holds major cultural and spiritual importance in Assam. Dressed in traditional Assamese attire, Sarma offered ‘Sarai’ at the temple premises and later attended a felicitation programme organised by the Bordowa Than Management Committee at the Natghar.
