Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India was “delighted” to welcome Finland President Alexander Stubb, who is visiting the country as the Chief Guest at this year’s Raisina Dialogue.

In a post shared on social media platform X, Modi said his discussions with the Finnish leader covered a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation and global engagement.

“Our talks today were wide-ranging,” Modi wrote, adding that the two leaders discussed opportunities in trade and commerce, particularly in the context of the India–European Union Free Trade Agreement.

According to the prime minister, the discussions also included potential collaboration across several sectors such as technology, infrastructure, defence, space, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and education.

Modi said the visit reflects growing engagement between India and Finland and highlighted the Raisina Dialogue as an important platform for international discussions on geopolitics and global policy.

President Stubb is attending the Raisina Dialogue as the event’s Chief Guest, with the two leaders using the occasion to hold bilateral talks on areas of mutual interest.
