Anand Mahindra Backs Hyderabad-Based Agri-Tech Startup Harvested Robotics

Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra has announced his investment in Harvested Robotics, a Hyderabad-based agricultural technology startup founded in 2023 by entrepreneurs Rahul Arepaka and George Mathew.

Mahindra shared the update in a post on social media platform X, where he highlighted the company and its founders while referencing recent global attention around AI-powered agricultural tools.

In his post, Mahindra noted that news about Carbon Robotics’ LaserWeeder, an AI-powered, tractor-pulled tool that uses artificial intelligence and high-powered lasers to destroy weeds, has been widely circulating online in recent days. Against that backdrop, he introduced Harvested Robotics as an emerging startup from Hyderabad working in the agricultural technology space.

According to Mahindra, the company was founded in 2023 by Arepaka and Mathew. He said Mahindra Universitysupported the startup by providing space within its on-campus incubator.

Mahindra also said he met the founders during a visit to the university last year and subsequently agreed to invest in the company.

“I met them during a visit to Mahindra University last year and also agreed to be an investor,” Mahindra wrote in the post.

He concluded the message by expressing encouragement for the founders as they continue developing their agricultural technology venture.

Further details about the size of the investment or the startup’s products were not disclosed in the post.
