Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo on Monday inaugurated a Power System Simulation Laboratory at the Power Training Centre in Chandaka, Bhubaneswar. The facility, developed by Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited, is designed to improve technical capabilities in electricity transmission planning and grid operations.

Speaking at the inauguration, Deputy Chief Minister Singh Deo underlined the importance of a strong transmission system for economic growth. Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of OPTCL, described the laboratory as a step toward building a centre of excellence for power system research and training.
