From Classrooms to Careers: SKD University and NIELIT Join Hands to Transform Tech Education in Rajasthan

In a move that could reshape the future of technical education in Rajasthan, Shri Khushal Das University (SKD University), Hanumangarh, has entered into a five-year partnership with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), New Delhi.

Signed at NIELIT Bhawan, Dwarka, on March 20, 2026, the MoU is more than a formal agreement — it represents a shift toward making high-quality, government-backed technology education accessible beyond India’s metro cities.

Through this collaboration, students in Rajasthan will gain direct access to cutting-edge programmes in Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Data Science, IoT, and Semiconductor Technologies — fields that are shaping the global economy.

At the heart of this partnership is a commitment to practical learning. A Centre of Excellence with advanced labs is planned, ensuring students move beyond theory into real-world application. Courses in Cyber Forensics and Cyber Crime will further prepare students for emerging challenges in the digital landscape.

“This is a turning point for our university,” said Vice Chancellor Dr. Ramawatar Meena, highlighting the direct integration of NIELIT’s nationally recognised curriculum.

Chairperson Varun Yadav described the collaboration as a defining moment, reinforcing the university’s ambition to align with national standards and global opportunities.

For Managing Director Dinesh Juneja, the impact is deeply regional. “Students no longer need to migrate to metro cities for quality education. We are bringing those opportunities closer to them,” he noted.

With students coming from Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana, SKD University is steadily emerging as a regional education hub. The partnership with NIELIT further strengthens its mission to democratise access to future-ready skills and positions it strongly within national frameworks such as NIRF.
