When Shukla’s mission ended, his spaceship landed safely in the ocean on July 17, 2025. Back in India, people in New Delhi threw a big welcome party for him. Leaders, scientists, and regular folks clapped and cheered for their space hero. The Prime Minister called Shukla a “star” who shows India’s strength in science.
This mission is a big deal for ISRO, which is working on sending more Indians to space with a project called Gaganyaan, planned for 2026. Shukla’s trip will help make that dream come true by teaching ISRO what it takes to send people to space.
