MP CM Mohan Yadav Meets PM Narendra Modi, Discusses Farmer Welfare Year Initiatives


Mohan Yadav met Narendra Modi at Parliament House in New Delhi on Sunday and briefed him on initiatives being undertaken in Madhya Pradesh as part of the state’s “Farmer Welfare Year” programme.

According to an official statement, the meeting focused on efforts by the Madhya Pradesh government to strengthen the agriculture sector, improve farmer welfare, and promote rural development across the state.

During the interaction, Yadav informed the Prime Minister about various programmes and activities being organised under the Farmer Welfare Year initiative. He said the state government has launched several measures aimed at supporting farmers, increasing agricultural productivity, and boosting farmers’ income.

The Chief Minister also apprised the Prime Minister about broader development initiatives underway in Madhya Pradesh and highlighted the role of agriculture in the state’s economy.

Prime Minister Modi offered guidance during the meeting and conveyed his best wishes for the continued development of the state and for initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of farmers.

The discussion also underscored the importance of coordination between the Centre and the state government in implementing development programmes and strengthening the agriculture sector.

Madhya Pradesh, one of India’s major agricultural states, has been focusing on initiatives designed to enhance rural infrastructure, improve access to agricultural support services, and expand opportunities for farmers as part of its development strategy.
